Privacy Policy

Effective 1 January 2025 · Last updated 1 January 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how PRISMORA (“the project”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you visit this website or play the PRISMORA game. It describes the current implementation honestly, including the parts that are not yet connected.

Plain-language summary: this website has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. The game stores your best score and settings only in your own browser. The only place this site can receive your personal information is the contact form, and only when it is connected to an email service.

1. Information collected through website use

This website is served as static files. It does not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and it does not set cookies of its own. It does not build a profile of you.

Like almost every website, the hosting provider that serves these files may process standard technical request data (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. That processing is controlled by the hosting provider and is not used by this project to identify you.

2. Information submitted through the contact form

If you use the contact form, you may provide your name, your email address, a subject and a message. That information is used only to read and respond to your enquiry. It is not used for marketing and is not sold or shared for advertising.

Current status: the contact form is not yet connected to an email service. Until it is configured, submitting the form does not transmit or store your message anywhere, and the form tells you so rather than pretending a message was sent.

No bot-verification challenge is currently active on the contact form.

Contact address status: the address above is a clearly identified placeholder and is not yet monitored. Replace it with a real, monitored address before publishing this policy.

3. Local storage used by the game

The game saves a small amount of data in your browser using localStorage. It stays on your device and is never transmitted to this website or any server. It includes:

  • Your personal best score.
  • Your game settings, such as sound, particle effects, reduced motion and vibration preferences.
  • A flag recording that you have completed or skipped the first-time tutorial.

This data exists so the game can remember your progress and preferences between visits. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for this site.

4. Accounts and registration

No account, registration, login or password is required to use this website or the game. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details.

5. Analytics, cookies, advertising and third-party embeds

This website does not include analytics tools, advertising networks or tracking pixels, and does not set its own cookies. The only third-party content that can appear here is:

  • an optional bot-verification widget on the contact form, when enabled;
  • the email delivery service used by the contact form, when configured;
  • the embedded PRISMORA game, which is served from this same site and makes no network requests of its own.

No social media embeds, advertising frames or behavioural trackers are present.

6. Third-party service providers

Where third-party services are used, they act on this project’s behalf for a specific purpose: static hosting and content delivery for the website, email delivery for the contact form, and optional bot verification. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

7. Data retention and deletion

Game data in localStorage remains on your device until you clear it, and we never hold a copy. Contact messages, once the form is connected, are kept only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete a message you sent by contacting us at the address below.

8. Security

The website is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable, proportionate measures to protect information that passes through the site, such as keeping private credentials out of the browser and limiting the data the contact form collects. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

PRISMORA is a general-audience puzzle game suitable for all ages, and it is designed not to collect personal information from anyone. The game requires no account and stores nothing on a server. The contact form should not be used by children to submit personal information; if you believe a child has sent personal information through the form, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights and how to contact us

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as the right to access, correct or delete it, or to object to certain processing. Because this project collects almost no personal information, most requests can be answered simply by explaining that no data is held.

To make a request or ask a question about privacy, contact: hello@prismora.example.

11. Updates to this policy

This policy will be updated when the project changes in a way that affects privacy — for example when the contact form is connected to a live service, when a database or admin panel is added, when analytics are introduced, or when the game is distributed through an app store. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will change whenever the policy changes.

12. Effective date

This policy is effective from 1 January 2025. The most recent update is dated 1 January 2025.

Maintainer note: this policy must be reviewed and updated whenever the contact service, analytics, database, hosting or distribution model changes. It is an honest description of the current implementation, not legal advice.
